According to the company, 46.2% of patients demonstrated a 1- or 2-step improvement in the Diabetic Retinopathy Severity Scale (DRSS) at 40 weeks in the Axpaxli arm, compared to 0% in the control arm.
SalioGen Therapeutics taps development candidate for ABCA4-mediated Stargardt disease
According to the company, SGT-1001 uses its novel gene coding technology for gene integration via transposition. It plans to advance SGT-1001 into the clinic in the first half of 2025. Preclinical data for SGT-1001 will be presented at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy annual meetings.
Ocugen, Inc. announces FDA clearance of IND amendment to Initiate OCU400 Phase 3 clinical trial
According to the company, the Phase 3 study will have a sample size of 150 participants—one arm of 75 participants with the RHO gene mutation and the other arm with 75 participants that are gene agnostic.

Roivant announces positive NEPTUNE study results for brepocitinib in non-infectious uveitis
NEPTUNE represents the seventh positive Phase 2 study for brepocitinib with more than 1400 subjects and patients treated with brepocitinib in clinical trials. Brepocitinib was generally safe and well-tolerated in the study; no new safety and tolerability signals were identified.
