According to Cleveland Clinic Florida CEO and President Conor P. Delaney, MD, MCh, PhD, the Martin North and South hospitals have a history of providing high-quality care to residents of Martin County, Florida.

“They are a foundational component of health care in the community, and Rishi will help us continue to enhance our current services while developing new opportunities to provide access to world-class care,” Delaney said.

Singh earned his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine, and completed an internship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. The completed a residency in ophthalmology from Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and a vitreoretinal fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.

Singh succeeds Robert L. Lord Jr., who announced in March that he would be retiring at the end of the year after 23 years as head of the hospital.

“Rishi’s leadership and experience will be valuable assets to Martin North and South hospitals, as well as to the community we serve,” Lord said.

Lord said he will work with Singh through December to help him transition into his new role.
