Gather, participate, learn, socialize
The 24th annual Retina Fellows Forum is slated for Friday and Saturday, January 26-27, 2024, at the Westin Chicago River North, Chicago.
The invitation to participate in this program is extended to all North American vitreoretinal fellows who complete their final year of training in a two-year surgical retina training program in 2024. The forum co-founders, Carl Awh, MD, David Chow, MD, and Tarek Hassan, MD, invite vitreoretinal fellows to “spend the weekend with their entire class of graduating fellows and a number of top attending physicians who have dedicated this time to teach, mentor, and socialize with them.”
According to the organizers, “The Retina Fellows Forum provides an opportunity for senior surgical retina fellows to gather in a collegial environment to discuss the medical and surgical issues frequently encountered in clinical practice, practice management tips, and career issues in an intense but friendly atmosphere. A combination of didactic lectures, interactive case presentations and panel discussions facilitate active participation between course faculty and fellows. The organizers and other members of the faculty are comprised of members of the American Society of Retina Specialists.”
Retina fellows are encouraged to submit a research paper manuscript for the Retina Fellows Forum Research Award. This award is for the best original research paper by a senior fellow. The winner will be invited to present their paper as a specially recognized paper at the 42nd Annual American Society of Retina Specialists Meeting, July 17-20, 2024, in Stockholm. The winner will be announced at the 24th Annual Retina Fellows Forum Meeting.
