Prof. Querques broke down perifoveal vascular anomalous complex (PVAC) and telangiectatic capillaries (TelCaps) for congress delegates.
At the 25th annual European Society of Retina Specialists (EURETINA) meeting, the Eye Care Network caught up with Giuseppe Querques, MD, PhD, who is an associate professor at University Vita-Salute, IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan, Italy. At the meeting, his primary topics of discussion included two challenging conditions of the macula: perifoveal vascular anomalous complex (PVAC) and telangiectatic capillaries (TelCaps). These macular diseases are challenging to diagnose and to treat. In some cases, differential diagnosis for PVAC takes effort to establish. On the other hand, TelCaps is secondary to other conditions such as diabetic retinopathy or retinal vein occlusion.
In this video interview, Prof. Querques shares his experiences with PVAC and TelCaps, highlighting the key points he hopes his colleagues put into practice following the EURETINA talks.
