Anat Loewenstein, MD, Professor of Ophthalmology, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Sidney Fox Chair of Ophthalmology at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at the Tel Aviv University. Dr. Loewenstein is involved in the development of multiple innovative efforts, including the development of novel technology for the early detection of macular degeneration, the development of automated technology for detection of retinal disease activity, and the development of augmented virtual reality to replace the operating microscope. She serves as the Editor of the Journal Case Reports in Ophthalmology, and has published more than 350 papers as well as multiple ophthalmic textbook chapters.

Prof. Frank G. Holz

Prof. Frank G. Holz is Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Bonn, Germany was a co-founder of the German Research Foundation Priority Program for AMD and the GRADE Reading Center in Bonn. He is a board member of the German Ophthalmological Society and EURETINA, and has published more than 400 articles in peer-reviewed journals and is Editor of several books on retinal diseases and retinal imaging.

Dr. de Smet

Prof. dr. Marc D. de Smet, MDCM, PhD, FRCSC, FRCOphth, DABO, FMH, is the Founder and head of MicroInvasive Ocular Surgery Center (MIOS) sa, Lausanne, Switzerland, and CMO – Preceyes bv, an ophthalmic robotics company. He has authored or co-authored more than 160 articles in peer reviewed international journals, 30 chapters or book chapters, and more than 50 non-peer reviewed articles. He has given more than 500 invited lectures at meetings or named lectures.He also discovered new treatments such as the use of methotrexate for the treatment of ocular lymphoma or ocriplasmin in vitreomacular traction.

Robert E. MacLaren FMedSci FRCOphth FRCS FACS VR

Robert E. MacLaren FMedSci FRCOphth FRCS FACS VR a practicing Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Oxford Eye Hospital. He specialized first as a junior doctor in Oxford and then moved to Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, where he was a Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon and led research into retinal diseases. He is Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Oxford and Honorary Professor of Ophthalmology at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology. He has led pioneering work in the treatment of blindness caused by retinal diseases.

Ramin Tadayoni, MD, PhD

Ramin Tadayoni, MD, PhD, is Professor of Ophthalmology at University of Paris and Head of the department of Ophthalmology at the University of Paris, and Department Chairman at Lariboisière, Saint Louis University Hospitals and Rothschild Foundation Hospital Paris (France). He is also the leader of French government funded RHU EviRed research on artificial intelligence for diabetic retinopathy. He is a EURETINA board member, past President of the French-speaking Retina Specialists Club, and since 2017 elected as member of the French Académie Nationale de Chirurgie. He is a pioneer in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases, retinovitreal surgery and ophthalmic imaging.
